Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Ryki
(the Dairy Cooperative in Ryki) has conducted production
activity for 80 years. It was established in 1926, initially
as a branch of the Okręgowa Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Garwolin
(Regional Dairy Cooperative in Garwolin). Later it became
an independent enterprise specialising in the production
of maturing cheese. Long-standing experience and tradition
coupled with modern production technology have made SM Ryki
one of the best Polish maturing cheese producers today.
Our production engineers have developed several kinds of
cheese among which the greatest acclaim has been won by
Rycki Edam, Ramzes, ,Zamojski wędzony (smoked Zamojski)
and a cheese with a very low fat content called Hit z Ryk
(Hit from Ryki).
Our
cheeses have won numerous awards and distinctions, including
the Prime Minister's and Minister of Agriculture's Cup and
the Polagra Fair gold medal. The high qualifications of
our personnel and continuous introduction of modern technology
and solutions enable us to compete with the best producers
at home and abroad. We use high quality cheese originating
from ecologically clean areas.
